In this hands on course, you'll learn the whole process of wet felting to create a three dimensional form in the shape of a beautiful teardrop bird nest pod.
Selecting from a variety of natural and coloured wools to create an ombre effect or block colour, adding decorative details and embellishments. You will have the opportunity to experience using tools such as hand carders and a drum carder to create your own bespoke blend of fibres. You will layer your fibres around a resist to start felting your nest pod whilst integrating a chunky wool hanger, felting, shaping and forming your wool to create a three-dimensional form.
No prior experience is needed for this day and you will be instructed through each stage of the process, which will include:
choosing and layering up the coloured wool
wet felting around a shape to create a three dimensional form
drying and shaping the felt
decorating and embellishing your felt birdhouse

This course is suitable for Age 14+
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
